Some Bulls; some Jaime Edmondson

December 20, 2011 @ No Comments

The Chicago Bulls will play their lone United Center preseason game tonight against the Indiana Pacers. It won’t be the only time to see the players this week. Along with Benny the Bulls, the team will be at Northbrook Court Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. Think of this as an entry for the Pulitzer Price for Public Service portfolio (or its cyberspace equivalent). And one of the few public service mentions that does not include a scantilly clad female. OK, it won’t happen again.

Jaime Edmondson caps off the baseball season.

The appearance is part of the NBA’s “BIG things are coming” campaign in which the Bulls will “Paint the Town” by greeting fans. The Bulls won’t be home for Christmas. Instead they have a Dec. 25 season opener at Los Angeles against the Lakers.

Speaking of fan favorites, there is no question that Jaime Edmondson is a woman for all seasons. Mostly, it has been in regard to football season. You can add a little baseball to that.

Jaime has posted her lastest “Play-By-Playmate” sports column at Playboy.com. In it she hands out her Jibby Awards. As in “Jaime’s Inaugural Best Baseball (moments of the) Year Awards.” These should be considered her version of the Gibby Awards, which are honors that were passed out by MLB Network and mlb.com.

Needless to say (needless to say, when you use that phrase, isn’t it alway superfluous?), Jaime takes a different view of baseball compared to your average sports scribe.

Let the record show Jaime also ended the NFL’s Week 15 with the correct choice in predicting the San Francisco 49ers over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night. Meaning Jaime was 3-0 for Thursday, Saturday and Monday. She wasn’t quite that good for Sunday, but her body of work still remains incredibly impressive.

And for those who would like a little video of Jaime with Lauren Anderson, a fellow Playboy Playmate, here you go:

Returning to the world of football (OK, not really), here is a “Saturday Night Live” skit that features Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow (OK, not really) and Jesus Christ (OK, not really):
