Paige Little Things Mean a Lot at Exxxotica

July 14, 2012 @ No Comments

Being my own boss has its advantages. I don’t call myself up at odd hours with odd demands. I do keep the lines of communication open — even if it does mean talking to myself. I don’t come home at the end of the day and tell The Wife how unintelligent and bereft of people skills my boss is; she already knows. I do know precisely what my boss thinks of me.

Adult entertainer Paige Little isn't so little anymore. If you know what we mean. And even if you don't.

And yet, despite all the benefits of being my own boss, even I have to question some of the decisions he makes. For instance, there was Friday (July 13). As usual, it fell between Thursday and Saturday. Thankfully, the boss didn’t request some stupid Friday the 13th piece. Instead, he wanted to see how dedicated I would be to covering the WNBA Chicago Sky. After all, I do believe I have attended all of the team’s home games this season.

The Sky was playing the Connecticut Sun at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill. As my boss was aware, I already had planned to attend Exxxotica Chicago 2012 — an adult-entertainment expo — at the Stephens Convention Center. Decisions, decisions. So what did I do. Using the wisdom of Solomon (as in Al Solomon, a former Chicago Sun-Times colleague and former Chicago Tribune baseball scribe and travel maven), I went to Exxxotica 2012 — and the Sky game.

Which meant I did not stay at Exxxotica as long as I would have liked. Premature evacuation, some might call it. OK, I might call it. So, being a good employee, I tried to accomplish as much as I could during my short stime at Exxxotica. With rain and rush-hour traffic combining for a considerable delay, I did not arrive at Exxxotica until after 5:30 p.m. With the Sky game having a 7:30 p.m. start, that didn’t leave a lot of time.

Thankfully, Exxotica continues Saturday and Sunday. And the Sky does not play again until Aug. 17 because of a league-wide break for the Olympic Games in London. Which means, regardless of what the boss thinks, I will be returning for additional interviews for this site.

Among the performers whom I was able to chat with Friday were Taylor Stevens, Tasha Reign, Christie Stevens, Jynx Maze, Madison Fox, Allison Moore and — last but not least — Paige Little. Sexy Little Paige, as she is known to some in the wonderful world of adult entertainment (that sounds so much more sanitized than calling it “porn,” don’t you think?).

Paige and yours truly have been getting together at such gatherings in the Chicago area for the last three years. Sounds a little like “Same Time Next Year” (for those familiar with that play and movie). Only all Paige and I do is chat. Nothing wrong with that.

If things go according to plan (and occasionally they do, especially if the boss is not involved in the process), we will be taping more interviews to use during the dog days of summer. OK, to use whenever we feel like it.

Here is Paige with other offerings to come another time:

Meanwhile, back on the Sky beat, the team fell to 8-9 with an 80-78 loss to the Sun. Sky guard Courtney Vandersloot had a career-high 22 points, Sylvia Fowles had 20 points and 10 rebounds, Tamera Young score 14 and reserve Shay Murphy had 13 points. The Sky started the season by going 7-1 with the first playoff appearance in franchise history seeming certain.

Center Tina Charles had 25 points and 13 rebounds for the Sun (13-5).

“Credit Connecticut with the win.” Sky coach Pokey Chatman said. “Discredit us for having opportunities early, in the middle, and late to win the game in regulation.”

Of Vandersloot, Chatman said, “She had a good scoring night. I thought when she got tired she had a few mental breakdowns. We talked about that in the locker room.”

“Pokey wants me to be aggressive every game,” Vandersloot said. “They focus a lot on Syl and I got a couple of open shots tonight.”

And now for some culture. OK, some more culture. A little violin music always is good. Especially when there’s an attractive female involved such as Melissa Palichat (Mz. Poppinz). Thank you to another lovely and talented female, Joanna Krupa for tweeting about this.
