The 2011 Lingerie Football League season has been something of a lost cause for the Chicago Bliss. After two home defeats in a four-game season, the Bliss is on the road for Saturday night’s game against the Minnesota Valkyrie (1-1) at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Stacey Jarrett (left) and Ange Yangas will miss Saturday's Chicago Bliss road game, its first of the season.

On the subject of lost causes, there is Chicago Bears No. 1 draft pick Gabe Carimi.

The offensive tackle was placed on injured reserve Friday. Meaning he will miss the rest of the season. Also meaning he spent more time in the doctor’s office than he did on the field.

Still speaking of lost causes, new Chicago Cubs manager Dale Sveum doesn’t want his players using excuses such as day baseball. If that’s not going to be a challenge for the players, nothing is. Well, certainly in terms of coming up with new excuses.

OK, back to the LFL. Among the Bliss players missing from action for the Saturday night contest will be Ange Yangas and Stacey Jarrett.

The two watched the Bliss’ Oct. 7 loss to Green Bay in civilian attire and were gracious enough to take some time to chat with your humble correspondent:
