Jaime’s World vs. Jay’s: No Contest (updated)

November 22, 2011 @ No Comments

It appears Jaime Edmondson had a better weekend than did Jay Cutler. The Playboy Playmate concluded her NFL pigskin picks by properly prognosticating the New England Patriots would defeat the Kansas City Chiefs. Her correct call left her 1eft her 12-2 for Week 11. Her only misses were Denver’s victory Thursday against Oakland and Philadelphia defeating the New York Giants on Sunday night.

Jaime Edmondson provides some winning figures.

Cutler did quarterback the Chicago Bears to an easy victory Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. A game in which he suffered a broken thumb and is expected to miss most — if not all — of the regular season. As if that wasn’t bad enough, after reports surfaced saying he was engaged once again to Kristin Cavallari. The reality-television personality denied any such thing, using Twitter to send out her message from @KristinCav:

New week new rumor. I’m not engaged u guys.

Ah, modern romance.

As if most people actually care.

As if that’s not enough to leave Cutler in the dust, Jaime came out with a new Playboy.com spread. This one features her in outfits honoring the top 10 college football programs during the Playboy era (1957-present).

The pictorial (and, hey, there’s even text to go with it) is available at playboy.com.

Not sure which is the most depressing part of it all: whether to sort through the teams and not find your school among them or the mere fact that the pictorial is SFW (Safe For Work, although those could be the initials of someone your humble correspondent knew back in the day when attending college).

While the editorial staff at elliottharris.com decided not to run the entire gallery, here is a taste of Jaime’s pictorial, along with the text that accompanies the No. 10 team on the list — Penn State:

Despite the recent scandal that has tarnished the reputation of the university and long-time coach Joe Paterno, the Penn State football legacy built by Paterno remains. From 1966 when Paterno took over until he was recently forced to step down, the Nittany Lions won two national championships and were likely cheated out of a couple more. Over its entire history, Penn State has won 26 bowl games and produced 107 All Americas.

Purely for the purposes of those interest in the list, here is Playboy’s top 10:

1. Southern Cal
2. Alabama
3. Notre Dame
4. Oklahoma
5. Ohio State
6. Michigan
7. Nebraska
8. Texas
9. Miami
10. Penn State

As something of a consolation prize, Playboy and Jaime do offer bonus photographs featuring her in Florida and Florida State attire.

Now nobody asked me (big surprise there), but if somebody wanted to be a little creative, you could have come up with the top 52 programs and turned that list into a deck of cards. Even sell those at Jaime’s own site at jaimeedmondson.net. That definitely would have to be considered a stacked deck.

Jaime does have her NFL pics for sale on her own site. Regular readers of this space — and even some constipated ones — will know what photos those are. If you don’t, check out any Sunday post featuring her and her picks since the NFL season started. You can thank me later.

Oh, what the heck. How about some Playboy video that does have some Jaime in it:
