Ironman Effort Worth Another Look

November 9, 2011 @ No Comments

There is plenty to write about today. The continuing saga that involves Penn State football, coach Joe Paterno and allegations of child-sex abuse by former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky. There is the aftermath of the Chicago Bears defeating the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, improving to 5-3 and looking like a team that has definite postseason possibilities.

Nicole Moneer Guerrero is quite a distraction from football action. Not that anyone around here is complaining.

There is the Cubs search for a manager to replace Mike Quade. There is Mark Buehrle possibly departing the White Sox for the Florida Marlins, where the left-hander would be reunited with manager Ozzie Guillen.

“Joe Must Go” should be the theme of Saturday’s Penn State football game. Paterno along with everyone else at the university who took the proper legal action but failed miserably morally with the knowledge children allegedly were being sexually violated. Meaning the school’s president, among other, should be job-hunting fairly soon. Not soon enough to satisfy the most vocal critics. Paterno’s career seems over. If the allegations and other information in the grand jury report are true, Joe Pa should have been gone long ago.

Not to minimize the importance of the Penn State story, but this space will shift gears. So naturally today’s topic will involve attractive females and not have anything to do with the aforementioned subjects.

Hey, it’s midweek already and there are a bunch of videos from the NPC 2011 Midwest Ironman event Saturday that need to be featured.

Maria DiNello poses with Nicole Moneer Guerrero after their interview.

Thanks to the lovely and talented Nicole Moneer Guerrero, your humble correspondent was able to attend the Ironman at the Copernicus Center in Chicago.

Nicole is an IFBB Bikini Pro Athlete, 2011 Team Bodybuilding.com Athlete, 2009 Ms. Bikini Classic Universe Champion, VPX spokesmodel, among other things.
Nicole was a spectator at the night event after being a test judge earlier in the day. She also helped hand out trophies. Plus she did some interviewing for this site. Talk about full service. A former member of the Chicago Luvabulls, Nicole was a delight to be around. Ah, what some of us delude ourselves into thinking of as work.

OK, time for another photo of Nicole and some video. And if things go according to plan (which occasionally they do), there will be more of Nicole this week and next and possibly after that.

Here is Nicole with Maria DiNello, one of the participants in the Ironman event with an interesting back story. Of course, most of the contestants have interesting back stories, but that’s a story for another day:
