Bianca La Russa won't be on the sidelines with the Raiderettes when Oakland entertains the Chicago Bears.
Which pretty sums up the situation the Bears face when they head to the West Coast for the encounter. How much pressure they encounter will depend in part on offensive coordinator Mike Martz’s play-calling. With starter Jay Cutler out with a fractured thumb, maybe Martz will be emboldened to revert to seven-step drops and all that fun that had the Bears 2-3 before going on a five-game winning streak.
Cutler may be the biggest name missing from the Bears-Raiders game — in terms of football players. For those who follow cheerleaders (and you know who we you are), a notable name missing from the field will be rookie Raiderette Bianca La Russa, who was injured early in the season and has been sidelined. Sbe is the daughter of recently retired St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa for those who care — and even for those who do not.

Speaking of cheerleaders, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Melissa Kellerman found herself part of the action Thursday on the first play of the fourth quarter against the Miami Dolphins. With her back to the play as she faced the fans in the stands, Melissa was hit from behind by Cowboys tight end Jason Witten after a completion that ended with him out of bounds.

She also observed: And I thought being Game Day Girl would be the highlight of the game for me…or at least halftime w/ Enrique Iglesias
