So there they were: several Luvabulls videos from the Miami Heat-Chicago Bulls game Thursday (April 12). And the task was to figure a way to use them, so they would seem to fit in nicely with today’s posting (which, had there been a greater sense of urgency would have been one of yesterday’s postings). Ah, the creative thought process.
Meaning somehow the lovely Luvabulls didn’t quite fit in with the White Sox home opener Friday against the Detroit Tigers. Or the Cubs being the opponent in the St. Louis Cardinals’ rain-delayed home opener (there’s only so much “Dr. Drew’s Life Changers” some of us can take on WGN).
And then came an email touting the Bulls’ game Monday at the United Center against the Washington Wizards. Well, not so much the game as the festivites for “Benny’s Birthday Bash.” As in Benny the Bull. For a celebration so epic, the Bulls and Radio Disney AM 1300 are joining forces.
Notes a press release from the Bulls:
As part of the celebration, Radio Disney will present Benny’s special halftime performance where he will be joined by four other NBA mascots. Additionally, Zendaya from the Disney Channel’s hit series “Shake It Up” will be on hand to sign autographs with Benny on the United Center’s 100 Level concourse before the game and serve as the team’s honorary captain for the game.
The evening’s festivities will also include the national anthem performed by Shealeigh, the season 4 winner of Radio Disney’s N.B.T (Next BIG Thing) competition, and Benny the Bull Wall Cling giveaways for fans 14 years and younger while supplies last.
Meaning we now have more than justifiable reason to run the Luvabulls videos (as if justification ever really is needed for such things):
