White Sox Fans Look to 2013 and 1983 at SoxFest

With newly fallen snow on the ground, the weather outside was more suited for snowballs than baseball. Inside the Palmer House Hilton, it was another story, as the 2013 SoxFest began Friday afternoon (Jan. 25). Before the event began, general manager Rick Hahn spent time with the media to answer questions.

White Sox fans were in a good mood Friday at SoxFest.

Several players were available for media availability. Also on hand was marketing maven Brooks Boyer, who talked about what to expect this season at Sox home games:

As well as looking forward to the 2013 season, SoxFest provided attendees with a chance to look back. Specifically to 1983. Members of that ballclub plus manager Tony La Russa — conducted a question-and-answer session with fans early in the evening.
