Brooke: a Viking to Our Liking

October 14, 2011 @ No Comments

The Minnesota Vikings never looked so appealing. Not as an opponent on the football field. As someone wearing an Adrian Peterson jersey. Someone other than the Vikings star running back. And so we say hello to Brooke. She is a Vikings fan, even though she hails from southern Illinois and no one in her family is remotely close to being a Vikings fan.

Brooke is a Minnesota Vikings fan. In case you didn't notice.

She also is to be a round-card girl at the Fight Card Entertainment Oct. 22 mixed-martial arts program. FCE’s five-year anniversary FCE #42/No Mercy will be Oct. 22 at the Grand Sports Arena, 2350 Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates, Ill. Tickets, starting at $30, are available at www.FightCard.net or by calling (773) 745-1112.

OK, back to some football figures (other than Brooke’s in Vikings attire from the fine folks at www.facebook.com/midwestethnicmodels). These numbers are purely for entertainment purposes and come from the fine folks at Bodog:

Will the Philadelphia Eagles make the playoffs?
Yes +275
No -350

Bodog Sportsbook Manager Richard Gardner: “The 2002 Jets were the last 1-4 team to make the playoffs but the talent level in Philly and the fact no NFC East team looks ready to dominate the division makes them a possibility to turn it around. Beat the Redskins Sunday and they’re right in the mix at 2-4. Still, it’s a long shot, hence the +275 odds posted this week. Who knows – 8-8 might take the division in 2011.”

Will the New York Jets make the playoffs?

No -250
